Cracker Thingys


Since Gene would not let me make more muffins (I still  might anyway) I made these instead.  My friend Cheryl gave me to recipe…something simple and yummy.


  • A sleeve of saltine crackers
  • A small bag of chocolate chips
  • 1/2 stick of butter
  • 1/4 cup of sugar


  • Spread crackers evenly on a cookie sheet
  • Melt butter and sugar together and spread over crackers
    • Next time I made these, I would eliminate the sugar
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes until crackers are golden brown
  • Remove from oven and spread chocolate chips evenly over the crackers
    • I spread melted peanut butter on the crackers first then added the chocolate chips

  • Place cookie sheet back in the oven for approx 5 minutes
  • Remove from oven and spread chocolate evenly over the crackers with a rubber spatula
  • Refrigerate or freeze until chocolate hardens
  • Break apart and enjoy

  • You can add peanut butter chips, crushed up candies, nuts or whatever you can imagine.  The possibilities are endless with this snack!

    Mmmmmm…craxker thingys — no pic? Sounds interesting. Sugary/sweet goodness. Life french fries and a milk shake.
