This is my May post. Not so much with the baking but ready and able with the beverages! This is my first almost solo mission (thank you Jenna!) posting. What we have here is a liquor dispenser that I found in a local antique shop. I tried to walk away but it kept calling me back!!! Like drinking wasn’t already fun enough! As you can see, you put the little glass under the spout and pump. Voila! Mint soaked rum! It’s the perfect base for a mojito or if you are truly a skilled professional…”DOWN THE HATCH!”
P.S. Those are Gene’s Peppermint Patties in front of the dispenser! They were MINT-A-LICIOUS!!!
10 Cane Rum-enough to fill vessel
mint leaves-enough until rum tastes good
Let it sit for as long as you can wait. While you’re waiting, make the simple syrup.
1 part granulated sugar
1 part water
Put into pot on stove on medium heat and stir until sugar dissolves. When it’s done, you can store it in a jar in your fridge. I’m not sure how long it will last because we usually have none left.
